IMPROVISATION. THEATRE. SERIOUS FUN
Any improvisation training worthy of its name is an emancipatory and exploratory activity that is good for your heart and soul. A fun and exciting way to the creative self.
Essentially, you develop an attitude - a stance even - towards the world, other people and yourself. Living life becomes easier. More fun. To me, that will always remain the main interest of improv theatre: the goodness and the positive change it brings to people's lives.
I believe that an improvisational theatre performance should be an inspiration to the audience, raise their spirit, pull them out of the humdrum of everyday life, show them another way of being.
This has lead me to develop a distinctive approach to teaching improvisational theatre - an approach that takes both the creative and the theatrical aspects seriously, all the while keeping the fun intact.
I call it IMPRO SUPREME.
Because that is what it leads to: supreme, or fully integrated, improvisational theatre.
